Hello I’m Angela the founder and owner of The Truthful Tutors. I have a degree in English with a TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) certificate. I also hold a master’s degree in Divinity with an emphasis in youth and family culture.

I have 13 years of teaching experience and have worked with children of all ages to teach them the love of writing. I have been the owner of The Truthful Tutors since 2020.

My specialty is middle school essay writing and I have proven experience in helping students build all the confidence that they need through an acronym approach, compliments and corrections, and the process of write, revise, repeat.

When I am not teaching I enjoy going to an exercise class, riding roller coasters, cooking, and watching geeky shows.

My name is Megan Felix, and I am a lifelong learner, teacher, and storyteller. I believe in the transformative power of creativity and experience, using the world around us as a classroom. Writing has been my passion since the age of eight, when I wrote my first book, The Adventures of Sunshine Gander. That early love for storytelling grew into a lifelong journey of creating books, short stories, poems, and guides to inspire other writers and creators.

With a degree in Journalism, I have dedicated much of my career to teaching. I’ve worked with elementary and middle school students, helping those reading and writing below grade level build their confidence and skills. Through schools and after-school programs, I’ve developed and hosted writing workshops to make writing accessible, fun, and empowering for young learners.

In recent years, my passion for storytelling has expanded into hosting wellness events called Soul Ink, where participants use writing as a tool for healing and self-discovery. My greatest joy is in helping students and creatives find their voice, showing them that writing is not only a skill but also a deeply personal and creative outlet. I aim to help others discover that the pen is mightier than the sword, unlocking endless possibilities for self-expression and change. Together, we can make a difference, one essay at a time.

My name is Willow, and I have been an English tutor for over a decade.

Being able to instill a love for learning in my students, and knowing I am making a difference in their lives, is why teaching is my biggest passion. I have a philosophy that anyone can learn, and that tutoring should be tailored to each student’s unique needs in order to best foster the learning process. I have experience tutoring all grade levels, and have successfully worked with students who are autistic, have ADHD, or are otherwise physically or mentally disabled.

Writing and critical thinking are invaluable skills, as they help you better express yourself through both the written and spoken word. I strive to help students find confidence in their abilities, and provide them tools they can use for the rest of their lives. No matter your child’s educational background or ability level, if they want to learn, I am willing to teach. I believe anyone can grow their writing skills to their top potential, and I want to help as many students as I can to get there.

I have a B.A in English, with a minor in Creative Writing.

Some fun facts about me are I have a black fluffy cat named Alice, I love to write poetry and stories, and I like to draw, paint, sew, and make various crafts.
